Using spies is bad form and takes the challenge out of the game. It’s as low as posting players co-ords in world chat.

Spies are bad, but what is worse is that nobody wins….But of course Evony by taking our money.
some of you may think that spys take the fun out of the game or should not be there as its unfair. Well you people are incorrect spying is part of war and is what makes many countries successful in war. without it you would be clueless of what your going up against and for using it in alliances it is totally fair because many of the top 10 alliances dont even put any effort into deciding if the person whos about to join could be a spy so its their fault for that and the low alliances who did that are actually the smart ones. So pretty much spying is an important part of evony.
I think your wrong Bob, spying is a weak way of playing. If a person does not have the brains to figure out what an opponent is up to, and has to rely on spies, not a very smart person. Half the challenge of the game is in figuring out what your opponents are going to do and what they have.
Spies are stealing from players, stealing time ad effort and money for alot of people who invest in their game play in evony. I have spent a lot of time and money, to have a spy come in and boot everyone or take me out by reporting when im offline… lets face it if you are a spy you are a thief robbing decent people wanting to play a game. i seriously doubt anyone would still agree spying is so great if they invested so much and play as many hours as a lot of us to have everything get taken while they finally get a chance to sleep cause they had to truce for work and cant truce cause cooloff time. The players who know others that are spies for their side do you even trust this member, if you are not very bright maybe, cause they spy both ways it doubles their fun. all good alliances that work hard for their position should always bann spying like botting you dont think automated systems dont exist as well as spies in real world.
T agree Quillan, it is basically theft, wish spies would lose a hand for it. Another good point that is attacking the spies best platform was referring the bot that does exist in war as well as spies… really back in the age when evony was set, spying really couldn’t have played very much of a part of war (not near what it does in evony) as everything had to be communicated by foot or by horse and would taken lengthy amounts of time and effort to get info to other side. Evony spies post it and its there if it took them very much effort they wouldnt do it, as they are often too lazy . I bet using mirrors to sink ships would have been like a bot back then. Spying is a part of warfare and works hand in hand with military decisions and diplomacy. Evony is a game of war and diplomacy, spying is just a tool used in this game and the players who act the roll as a spy may not be the most honorable people but neither are spies in the real world. So i for one find it to be more interesting to have spies in this game to add more realism to it. To all those who spy in Evony “you suck but its fun to have you”:)
It’s part of the game, but I personally don’t like it, it creates mistrust within alliances, especially when new people come into play.
Really now, If you say something in your alliance chat you deserve to get wiped out really. To the loosers who create there alts to join an alliance so they can read war reports and collects personal data on the alliance. You know who you are loosers. For people who simply cant play by the rules. They who spy normaly break other rules to more afficiently lie, cheat and steel information for there main accounts alliance. People like Bob and Karnage are most likely the osrt who do this of gimp short cut cheat. It simply without a doubt destroys any balance in the game.

Spies are useful and aren’t low life’s. We play without honor yes but what we lack in honor we make up for with pure cunning. We’ve seen how spies win wars in both evony and real life.
